Marti teaches self care to a group of nurses graduating from Baylor College of Medicine.
Bedside Yoga has been proven to promote positive outcomes in a variety of situations.
Marti developed a Relaxation Class, as well as a Pink Ribbon Class in conjunction with the Baylor Breast Center, as well as a popular Stress Reduction Workshop for nursing staff in conjunction with CHI St. Luke’s Vice President of Nursing Practice, Education & Research.
Outside of her consulting at the hospital, Marti works with a variety of other healthcare providers who have patients in need of support in recovery, health management, and stress reduction. She conducts presentations and training for health providers, caregivers, and support groups wanting to learn more about self-care and the healing properties of yoga that are appropriate for a variety of health issues. Her work over the last few years has expanded to respond to requests from corporate wellness programs to support employees on their own journey to healthier living.
Marti works with individuals in hospital and institutional settings, with patients in their homes, and with people seeking private healing sessions in her studio. She also is available to work with patients remotely, if that better fits their needs.
In 2018, and 2019 she presented at the Texas Yoga Conference, which focused on special training for cancer care and heart/cardiovascular health, sponsored by the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
